Overview

Our Q&A Audience with Experts from the University of Sunderland Faculty of Technology is an informal fact-finding session is intended as a preview to a range of 2-day short courses offered as part of the NTCA Digital Skills Innovation and Leadership Project; which will delve deeper in to the cutting-edge domains shaping the future of technology today.

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are technologies we are all starting to see and use in our daily lives as technology advances.  But what do they mean for your business and employees and how can they benefit your organisation.

Whether you are new to these technologies or already adopting them into your workplace, our introductory Q&A surrounding all things AI and Machine Learning is intended to give you the opportunity to understand a little about how these technologies can be incorporated into your businesses and to put your questions to our panel of AI and Machine Learning experts from the University of Sunderland.

During this 1.5 hr introductory session you will hear more about the uses of these technologies along with examples of where they are being used in a range of different sectors.

The session will touch on:

  • Defining AI and some of its applications
  • An overview of machine learning and its types
  • Examples of Real-world applications across industries

You will also have the opportunity to pose your own specific AI and Machine Learning related questions to our panel and hear about our range of more in-depth follow-on courses which, with your input, we can tailor to meet the needs of your sector to directly benefit the needs of your organisation.

Who's it for?

This session has been designed as an introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI)and Machine Learning aimed at those learners who have no prior knowledge of AI or Machine Learning (ML). This session will give an insight into the basics of what AI can and cannot do, and how it can be applied to business processes and innovation.

If you are looking at how AI and ML can support your business workflow, innovate your business or you are just curious as to the hype currently seen about AI, then this would be the session for you.
