Course Structure

This is an intensive short-course that will be delivered in-person over 2-days.

Day 1 from 9:30am to 4pm you will be introduced to the fundamental concepts and principles of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Day 1 will be delivered through a lecture/tutorial style model where you will be taught by leading experts in the field of AI and Machine Learning who will explain the history of AI, application areas and how AI and Machine Learning is used in industry and business. The concepts of frameworks, technology and understanding AI and Machine Learning will be delivered.

Day 2 from 9:30am to 4pm will deliver the practical application of AI and Machine Learning. You will be taught in a workshop/lab style delivery where you will get hands on experience with the frameworks, techniques and technologies needed to use and apply AI and Machine Learning. You will develop code and apply models to read work data to understand how this technology could be used in business and real-world applications.

This course has been designed as an introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI) aimed at those learners who have no prior knowledge of AI or Machine Learning (ML). This course will give a grounding in the basics of what AI can and can not do, and how it can be applied to business processes and innovation.

You will be provided with support material that will show how to download, install and use the software that is required for this course, namely Python and Jupyter Notebook. If you’ve never programmed before, this course will teach you all you need to know to be building and using AI systems.
